SARASOTA, Fla. -- Job creation on Florida's Suncoast continues to grow, and state economists are taking notice.
Statistics from the state's chief economist show that the metro area consisting of Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, Sarasota and North Port had the fastest rate of job growth in the nation in August.
The group Career Source Suncoast presented those numbers at a meeting in Lakewood Ranch. Nearly 10,000 were added to the area last month.
Florida is also among the best performers economically among the 10 most populated states.
