SARASOTA, Fla. -- We are now less than six weeks away from election day, and one of the biggest decisions facing Florida voters is Amendment 2, which would legalize medical marijuana in the state for people suffering certain medical conditions.

Two recent polls by Gravis Marketing and Quinnipiac University show that a majority of voters are for the change and it is expected to pass on November 4th.

Tonight, Women of Action will hold a discussion on this issue in Sarasota at Bethlehem Baptist Church on 18th Streetjust off Orange Avenue, starting at 6pm.

ABC 7 will talk with Shelli Freeland Eddie with Women of Action today on ABC 7 News at Noon to discuss the event.

And ABC 7’s Max Winitz will also have more on this story tonight on ABC 7 News.
