NAPLES, Fla. (AP) - A portion of Alligator Alley has been closed for a second time this week due to poor visibility.

The Florida Highway Patrol says a section of Interstate 75 between Mile Marker 101 in Collier County and Mile Marker 23, which is the U.S. 27 exit, in Broward County is closed.

      Motorists should seek alternate routes.

Troopers suggest taking Exit 101 in Collier County to U.S. 41, which is the Tamiami Trial, to head east. Westbound motorists are urged to head south on U.S. 27 to Krome Aveune, then south on State Road 997 to westbound U.S. 41.

FHP also closed U.S. 27, from Interstate 75 to State Road 80 in Palm Beach County.

The highway was also closed early Monday due to fog and smoke from a nearby brush fire.
