ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Police say private security guards fatally shot an armed man at a St. Petersburg food market.
The shooting happened early Tuesday at the Obama Express Food Market.
St. Petersburg police say the man had been arguing outside the store around 3:30 a.m. He walked inside and the security guards asked him to leave. He refused.
The Tampa Bay Times reports the man apparently took out a gun and the guards opened fire.
Further details were not immediately available. Police have not released the names of the guards or the dead man.
