JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Police say an 11-year-old boy is recovering after being accidentally shot by his twin brother.
The shooting occurred Wednesday at their home in Jacksonville.
Authorities say the mother went shopping, leaving the boys home alone.
The Florida Times-Union (http://bit.ly/1zOtTZv ) reports one of the boys was playing with his mother's gun and pointed it down the hallway.
Officers say the boy pulled the trigger as his brother walked by. The boy told police he did not see his brother.
The bullet entered the boy's right arm and exited his back. He was taken to a hospital and was listed in stable condition.
Police are continuing to investigate. The names of the boy or the mother have not been released.
