COCOA, Fla. (AP) - Two pedestrians have died after they were hit by a car while crossing the street in central Florida.

Florida Highway Patrol officials said a 26-year-old man and 49-year-old man apparently walked in front of the car Sunday night near Cocoa. Authorities said they were not at a crosswalk or intersection. Authorities have not released their names but said the men are from California.

Florida Today reports the driver of the vehicle, 42-year-old Johnny Harvey Jr., suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
