BRADENTON, Fla. -- Heavy rain is being blamed for the roof of an apartment building collapsing over the weekend.

It happened in the 3800 block of Catalina Drive Saturday. The building has four units in it, but only two of them were being occupied.

The West Manatee Fire and Rescue District responded. They found the roof over the main living room had collapsed, and water from the rest of the building had rushed in.

One person was treated on scene. There are no reports of any other injuries.

The building has been declared unsafe to live in.
