SARASOTA, Fla. -- The debate continues over where a so-called "come-as-you-are" homeless shelter should be built in Sarasota.
City and county comissioners will address the issue once again Monday.
A new shelter is just the first step in a 12-step plan recommended by homelessness expert Dr. Robert Marbut. Locations that had been considered for the shelter included North Lime Avenue, North East Avenue, and North Osprey Avenue.
Last month, a vote to decide on the location ended without a site selection.
