SARASOTA COUNTY - North Port city commissioners have kick-started the process for reopening Warm Mineral Springs.
Commissioners selected a Suncoast group to run the now-closed swimming site. WMS Sarasota Management was chosen over another group.
WMS is owned by a New York doctor who owns land near the North Port landmark. The city commissioner's recommendation now goes to Sarasota County commissioners for their input.
Warm Mineral Springs has been closed since July 1st.
