MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. - An Arizona company that recently acquired a former boat manufacturing plant in Manatee County isn't looking to get back into the boating business. Instead the facility could be used as a cannabis cultivation center.
The Herald Tribune is reporting that the company Cannibis RX is renovating the former Wellcraft boat building north of the Sarasota-Bradenton airport.
The future of how the building is used will depend on whether or not voters pass a medical marijuana amendment in November.
If Cannibis RX decides to keep the building, it could be turned into one of the largest cultivation parks.
