SLIDELL, La. (AP) - Police say a man accused in Florida of armed robbery has been arrested in Slidell, and his best friend is accused of trying to hide him from police.

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office says David Isiah Faciane (FASH-anh), of Panama City, Fla., and Michael Anderson, of Slidell, both age 20, are being held without bond. It was not clear whether either has an attorney.

Slidell Police Capt. Kevin O'Neill says police and U.S. marshals arrested them Friday at Anderson's house. He says they were caught running out the back door as several officers approached the front door.

O'Neill says both were booked with resisting arrest by flight. Anderson was also booked with being an accessory after the fact to armed robbery and Faciane as a fugitive.
