TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Many FSU students are still unable to talk to their family and friends in countries affected by hurricanes Maria and Irma.

The Puerto Rican Student Association held a lunch on campus this afternoon, coming together during this difficult time.

Students continue to feel anxious, waiting to hear how their loved ones and their homes are faring after the storms.

Most homes in Puerto Rico are still without power and resources are running out.

Students say they want to focus on their school-work, but it is distracting and worrisome to think about what condition their family is in.

As a group, they will continue to reach out and offer help to those back in Puerto Rico.
