LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. -- A Suncoast company vying for a license to grow, process, and dispense medical marijuana makes two new appointments to its executive team.
AltMed has chose Dr. Valerie Riddle, MS, FACP as Chief Medical Officer and Dr. Matthew Nessetti, Ph.D, MD, JD (Candidate) as Florida Medical Director. Dr. Nessetti is a board certified family physician, medical psychologist, and psychopharmacologist. Dr. Riddle is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases.
Recently, Sarasota County approved zoning for AltMed's operations facility, which would be located east of I-75. The facility would include a 25,000 square foot indoor growing area and a 7,500 square foot outdoor growing area.
Construction would begin if the medical marijuana referendum passes, and AltMed is awarded a medical cannabis license from Florida. Florida voters will vote on the medical marijuana referendum in November.
