Key Largo residents are facing a potential increase in taxes.
Despite a decrease in the tax rate for Key Largo’s fire and ambulance services, the county property value has risen, leading to an expected increase in taxes for their first responders’ services.
The proposed tax rate will remain the same for the current fiscal year, ending on September 30.
Should it be approved at the district board’s final budget hearing on September 22, residents of Key Largo should expect and average tax increase of $14.
