TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Police say one person was injured when a car slammed into the patio area of a Tampa area cafe and bar.
Twenty-nine-year-old Sully Marie Torre-Medina lost control of her car Tuesday night before driving into the Independent, a Tampa bar.
The Tampa Tribune (http://bit.ly/1DglfzF ) reports 34-year-old Wesley Kincaid was pinned behind a table. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with injuries that didn't appear to be life-threatening.
Torre-Medina is charged with DUI with injuries, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police say her blood alcohol content was measured at 0.16, more than twice the legal limit to drive in Florida.
She is in the Hillsborough County Jail with bond set at $3,000. Jail records don't indicate whether she's hired an attorney.
