TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - Home Instead Senior Care wants more people to start sharing a meal with a senior.

They're hoping to get people to eat with your older loved ones, by pledging donations to the Big Bend's Meals on Wheels Program.

Home Instead Senior Care in Tallahassee, Wakulla, Quincy, and Monticello are pledging a $1.00 donation for each person who takes a "Sunday Family Dinner Pledge" to schedule regular meals with their older loved ones.

Across the nation the care center will donate up to $20,000 to Meals on Wheels, a program that delivers seniors healthy and nutritious meals.

Almost 75% of the people surveyed said they only sit down for a family meal with senior loved ones for special occasions, events or holidays.

The "Sunday Dinner Pledge" program includes a year's worth of healthy, easy-to-make recipes and shopping guides to help make family meals.

To find out how you can donate call Stephani Gibilisco at 888.296.2411 ext. 6514.
