GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) UPDATE: - Leon County Schools has identified the 16-year-old Godby High School student killed in an early morning Gadsden County crash.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, one vehicle was traveling in the inside eastbound lane on Interstate 10 near the area of mile marker 178. Vehicle one's front left tire separated causing the driver to lose control.

The driver of that vehicle tried to counter steer to the right causing it to rotate clockwise.

Vehicle one traveled across the outside eastbound lane and onto the south shoulder of I-10, overturning, ejecting a passenger.

Vehicle one completed one roll and came to final rest upright on the paved culvert on the southbound shoulder facing south.

The 16-year-old died from his injuries. A woman is in the hospital for serious injuries while two other adults and an infant are being treated for minor injuries.

Leon County Schools sent out this statement:

"We are saddened with the tragic news of the passing of Godby sophomore Malcolm Sipling. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and the entire Godby community during this time.

Malcolm was a member of the Godby men's basketball team who heads to Jacksonville at noon for their regional playoff game."

WTXL has a crew heading to the scene, stay with us online and on-air for the very latest.
