TALLLAHASEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is calling on a boutique fashion company to stop selling T-shirts that feature the names of well-known prescription drugs.

Bondi joined with the attorneys general of Kentucky and Maine in criticizing Kitson Inc. for selling the sport jersey type shirts that feature Vicodin, Xanax and Adderall on the back.

Their Sept. 4 letter to Kitson contends the company is using the drug names as part of a "cynical effort" to profit off people who have died as a result of drug abuse.

Kitson, in a statement posted on its Facebook page, says that the T-shirts are helping create a dialogue about drug abuse. The company also says the shirts are a mirror of what is occurring in society.
