SARASOTA, Fla. -- Mote Marine Laboratory is getting a financial boost for its dolphin and whale rehabilitation efforts.
A $100,000 federal grant will go to the lab to help support equipment needs, and help mote buy a portable x-ray unit to use in the field.
This year, Mote's stranding investigations program has responded to more than 80 stranded sea turtles and 40 stranded marine mammals.
