MIAMI (AP) — The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a South Florida serial bank robber.

Agents say they believe the same person is responsible for three recent robberies and two attempts. The spree began on May 15 at a BB&T Bank branch in Miami Lakes. The most recent robbery took place Dec. 12 at a SunTrust Bank branch in Hallandale Beach.

No one has been injured in the robberies or attempts, although the suspect has claimed to possess a firearm. Bank security cameras show the suspect often wears rain gear including a hood that obscures the face.

Anyone with information can call the FBI at 754-703-2000.
