SOUTHPORT, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say the remains of a man reported missing more than two years ago have been found in Bay County.
The Bay County Sheriff's Office said in a news release Tuesday that the remains of Bradley Allen Pierson were located near Deer Point Lake.
The sheriff's office says Pierson's remains were found on Thanksgiving after deputies responded to a call from a woman who said she spotted the remains in a wooded area while jogging.
Police say Pierson was reported missing in Bay County in November 2013 after having been last seen in October 2013.
On Tuesday, the medical examiner's office positively identified the remains using dental records.
The remains will be sent to a forensic anthropologist to determine Pierson's cause of death.
