TALLAHASSEE, Fla: (WTXL) -- Business owners say construction is driving business away. The owner Of Cabos Bar at 1221 Apalachee Pkwy says his revenue is down 20 percent.

The Lafayette Street Phase II Drainage Improvement Project will construct an enclosed drainage system, sidewalk, roadway reconstruction and utility upgrades from the CSX railroad overpass to Seminole Drive. The construction will be implemented in phases to minimize disruptions and each segment will occur in a sequential order from CSX railroad to Seminole Drive. Eastbound traffic on Lafayette Street will be detoured east onto Apalachee Parkway and Myers Park Drive to Lafayette Street. Westbound traffic will be detoured south onto Myers Park Drive, then north onto Suwanee Street to Lafayette Street. All necessary detour signs and temporary traffic control devices will be installed to direct traffic.
