TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Concerned citizens are trying to prevent a convenience store and gas station from being constructed in their historically rural Leon County neighborhood. They will come together to express their collective opposition at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, at the Renaissance Center. Members of the Keep It Rural Coalition urge support of preserving their Northeast Leon County community by saying NO to an unnecessary gas station infringing on their community's rural heritage and natural landscape.

The proposed development is a six acre lot at the intersection of Crump and Miccosukee Roads. into a gas station that includes a convenience store and a car wash.

The meeting will be in the 2nd Floor Conference Room of the Renaissance Center. Residents will be given an opportunity for comment.
