DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Bethune-Cookman University is hosting a national tour stop for students interested in careers in medicine and dentistry.
The event is set to begin Monday at the B-CU Center for Civic Engagement in Daytona Beach. Organizer "Tour for Diversity" will bring in physicians and dentists from across the country to provide various workshops. The grassroots group seeks to educate, inspire, and cultivate future physicians and dentists of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds by forming local connections.
Additional tours span the nation with stops at minority-serving institutions, community colleges, and other institutions with underserved populations.
The full-day conference is open to the public and requires a $50 processing fee that includes lunch for college attendees.
