TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation officials are searching for people who can give a home to animals taken in through the Florida Exotic Pet Amnesty program.
The program allows owners to surrender their exotic pets to them instead of releasing them into the wild. It then allows qualified homes to adopt the animals. The next date to surrender an animal will be October 4 in West Palm Beach.
Applications to adopt exotic animals through the state's amnesty program are available online at www.myFWC.com/nonnatives.
