TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The November elections are now just a month away, and the deadline to register to vote is approaching fast.
Floridians have until Monday, October 6th to register to vote.
The highest profile race in the 2014 mid-term election has Republican Governor Rick Scott facing former Governor Charlie Crist, who is now a Democrat.
This election also has Floridians voting on three amendments as well as congressional, legislative, and local races.
During the 2014 primary election, for the first time ever more voters cast early or absentee ballots than voted on Election Day. This trend is expected to continue.
Ken Detzner, Secretary of State, says that Florida voters need to do their homework before hitting the polls.
He says "Be prepared. That’s the key. People need to know and think about who they want to vote for, so when they get to their polling place, they’ll know exactly what to do and who to vote for."
