TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Active military members and veterans will now be able to receive concealed weapons or firearms permits through a faster process.
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services announced Monday that applications for the licenses will now be expedited. This is through a partnership with tax collectors in the state, making the process more convenient for those wanting to apply for a permit.
The department says any active military personnel will need a copy of their Common Access Card or another form of military ID.
Officials will also accept a copy of a service member's current orders as proof of active duty.
