FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University is banning zombies from its annual Zombiefest. They're also banning goblins and ghosts.

University officials say they won't admit students who wear costumes, masks or face paint because it makes it too difficult to identify them.

Last weekend, one person was killed and five others were injured at Zombicon in downtown Fort Myers where thousands of costumed revelers filled the streets.

School officials told the News-Press they made the changes because they want to keep students safe.
