TALLAHASSEE (wtxl) - Florida's unemployment rate continues to drop.
The state's unemployment rate fell to 6% for the month of October, a 0.1% drop from the month before.
Governor Rick Scott announced the new job numbers today. This rate is the lowest it has been since June of 2008.
Florida added more than 34,000 jobs last month, which is the third highest total in the nation. However, the state's unemployment rate is still above the national average of 5.8%.
There are an estimated 578,000 Floridians out of work.
