CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP) - Authorities in the U.S. Virgin Islands are searching for the body of a 22-year-old woman from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida after a wave swept her off a rock in St. Thomas.
Police said Monday that Savannah Rey Finn was with her boyfriend and two friends in Peterborg Point when the incident occurred. Authorities said Finn was seen face down in the water late Friday and appeared to be lifeless but that they could not rescue her because of high surf and rough waters.
Police said her boyfriend also was swept away but climbed back on the rock and was rescued.
