TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida is releasing the last round of unemployment numbers for the year.
Florida's jobless numbers for November will be released on Friday by Gov. Rick Scott.
The rate for October was 6 percent, or a slight drop from the previous month.
The state's rate currently is higher than the U.S. rate of 5.8 percent.
Florida's rate has remained relatively flat for most of 2014 but economists say that because people are re-entering the job market due to an improving economy.
Gov. Rick Scott made job creation a centerpiece of both of his election and re-election campaigns.
Payroll provider ADP reported last week that the state added 13,900 private sector jobs during November. ADP's survey is separate from the one conducted by government agencies.
