TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Surgeon General in Florida says the state's hospitals are prepared for Ebola.
According to the Surgeon General, 160 of the 210 Florida hospitals have completed Ebola specific training.
This comes after a release last week from the CDC, of a list of 36 hospitals nationwide deemed Ebola ready.
No Florida hospitals made the list.
The surgeon general says, however, that Florida hospitals are prepared to treat Ebola patients, despite no cases having been in the state and little help from federal agencies.
State health officials say they asked the CDC for 30 Ebola testing kits in the fall, but only 3 have been received.
