TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The stores will be busy this weekend as parents rush to get back-to-school items tax free.
WTXL ABC's Jada Williams was live Friday morning from a from Walmart to explain what's included in the big sale.
You can fill your buggy up with things like school supplies and clothes without having to calculate the cost with tax.
But this year, the state of Florida isn't including electronics.
Consumer are expected to save $30 to $40 million this year, with the average family spending close to 700 bucks this no tax weekend.
Many stores arae offering additional discounts on top of those savings.
This weekend is the biggest shopping event.
Many people think the tax is only for school children, but this includes anyone who wants to purchase qualifying items.
Retailers are preparing for even more shoppers this year despite electronics not being included.
That's because of shoppers from Georgia coming down to save on money. Georgia didn't offer the sale and, while school has started up for many, it's still not too late to cash in on deals.
