Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL) - FSU film school professor, Richard Portman has died at the age of 82.
Jennifer Portman, his daughter, said he died at his Tallahassee home on Saturday.
Portman's death came after a recent fall that left him with a broken hip and other complications.
The Florida State professor worked on films such as "Star Wars" and "The Godfather".
Portman was nominated 11 times for an Academy Award and won a British Academy Award for his work on Robert Altman's "Nashville."
