DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — The party's over for two Daytona Beach spring breakers who are being charged with stealing a beach safety official's jet-propelled watercraft.
The Daytona Beach News-Journal (http://bit.ly/1o2DOVN) reports that 22-year-old James Duffey and 21-year-old Andrew Gentry of Virginia were arrested after's Friday incident.
Volusia County beach Safety Ocean Rescue Capt. Tammy Marris says one of the agency's watercrafts was beached after having a mechanical issue.
Marris says Duffey and Gentry jumped on the vessel and took off, riding south around the Main Street Pier.
The two men beached the vessel and tried to run away, but officers had followed them along the shoreline.
They are being charged with grand theft of a vessel.
