Florida Set to Pick its Nominees for President

TALLAHASSSEE, Fla. (AP) — Floridians will go to the polls Tuesday to pick who they want on the November presidential ballot.

For Republicans, it's a winner-take-all battle for 99 delegates that could kill favorite son Marco Rubio's dream to be president while propelling businessman Donald Trump closer to the GOP nomination. It's seen as a must win for the Florida senator if he has any hope of continuing his campaign for president.

Democrats will award delegates on a proportional basis. Former first lady, senator and secretary of state Hillary Clinton is seen as the favorite over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in a state where her husband, Bill Clinton, lost in 1992 and won in 1996.

More than 1 million Republicans and more than 750,000 Democrats had already voted as of Saturday.
