TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL)-- Florida's Secretary of State has released a voter education toolkit for next month's 2016 Primary Election.
The guide has checklists for current and new voters to make sure citizens have everything they need when arriving at Polling Stations.
These checklists include, making sure you are registered for the political party of your choice, checking to see if your signature is up to date, and verifying your address. It also, specifies who is allowed to vote in certain partisan contests during Florida's Closed Primary Election.
Secretary of State, Ken Detzner says voters have a responsibility to make themselves aware of the issues and candidates on the ballot. The secretary also says he wants to make sure voters have positive experience.
Detzner encourages citizens who have specific questions or concersn about the primary elections on August 30 to contact the Supervisor of Elections in their county.
