TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - State officials giving good reviews of Florida's tourism marketing agency.
Earlier this year Governor Rick Scott called for reviews of both Visit Florida and Space Florida. All of this comes after the Orlando Sentinel reported that taxpayers paid thousands of dollars for foreign journalist and bloggers to vacation in the keys.
The state also paid for celebrities to promote the sunshine state. However the department of economic opportunity found that Visit Florida had a sound business operation, but said the agency should make more information about it's operations public.
