(WTXL) - One senate seat is also up for grabs in the state of Florida. Democrat Incumbent Bill Nelson is seeking re-election against Republican and current Florida Governor Rick Scott.

Attack-ads targeted towards both Nelson and Scott have run through the airwaves. Tuesday, Rick Scott hosted a campaign rally in Hialeah, Florida where he talked about Senator Nelson's track record.

"Bill Nelson, the only job he cares about is his. He's never built a business. I build businesses, I focus on job creation," said Gov. Scott. "Our job growth rate is first on the nation, our unemployment, lower than the nation. We've added 1.6 million jobs. Bill Nelson has no plan."

As for Nelson, he made trips to Orlando Monday to swing much needed independents.

If Nelson wins the Senate again this would be his fourth term served since he first got elected in 1972 .
