ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Florida's orange crop forecast remains unchanged from a month ago.

U.S. Agriculture officials said Tuesday that Florida is expected to produce 103 million boxes during the 2014-2015 growing season. If the estimate holds, it will be slightly smaller than last season's 104 million boxes of oranges.

The grapefruit crop estimate also stayed the same at 15 million boxes.

Specialty fruit dropped 100,000 boxes to 3.2 million boxes, mainly because of a decrease in the expected number of tangelos.

The release of the latest estimates comes a day after the USDA pledged $30 million in the fight against citrus greening. The disease has caused Florida orange production to drop by more than half in the past decade.
