Tallahassee, FLA (WTXL)-- New numbers from the state government show unemployment in Florida is down from last month.
According to Governor Rick Scott's office, the unemployment rate in September was 6.1 percent, which is down slightly from last month at 6.3 percent.
It's also down from the same time last year when the rate was 6.9 percent.
According to the release, Florida's private sector has added 651,300 jobs since December 2010 and Florida's annual job growth rate has exceeded the nation's rate since April 2012.
