TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The deadline is almost here for Florida families to purchase Florida Prepaid Plans.
Open enrollment ends on Feb. 29.
There are five prepaid tuition plans and prepaid dormitory plans. The plans start as low as $46 a month, and are about 50% less than they were two years ago.
According to Florida Prepaid, students with college savings are more likely to attend and finish college.
The plans are guaranteed by the state, but if your child attends an out-of-state or private college, the plan will pay the same amount as it would at a public college or university in Florida.
