Florida Polls Have Closed, Get Election Results Here

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Polls for the primary election have now closed for Florida residents in Eastern Time zones.

Voters have decided on several positions to include a seat for the superintendent of schools, U.S. senator, state attorney, and 2 congress representatives.  In Leon County alone, almost 15,00 people have voted by mail with another 14,000 that voted early according to the Florida Division of Elections. 

The Florida Division of Elections also wants to remind you that while polls close at 7 p.m., Florida has two time zones. Voting will not be completed statewide until 7 p.m. Central / 8 p.m. Eastern, at which time, election results will be released.
