Florida Officials Offer Child Fingerprinting in Honor of Missing Children's Day

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - As Florida Missing Children's Day gets ready to roll back around, this year, Florida officials are offering parents an opportunity to fingerprint their children and get educated on safety awareness. 

Florida's Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse Advisory Board has announced that it will host the 18th annual Florida Missing Children's Day in Tallahassee. 

The event will also include a child safety fair. Governor Rick Scott and Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Rick Swearingen are also scheduled to make an appearance at the event.

Children will have a chance to be fingerprinted and receive child safety literature. 

The fair will begin at 9 a.m. in the plaza are of the Capitol. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the State Capitol Courtyard.
