(WTXL) — With Valentines day around the corner, Floridians should be extra cautious while looking for love online.
According to a recent study done by HighSpeedInternet.com,Florida was ranked as the 10th most dangerous state for online dating in 2020.
The team at HighSpeedInternet.com researched and ranked every state in the US from most dangerous to safest for online dating, using stats on cybercrime victims, total monetary loss per victim and STD data from the CDC in 2018.
For the third year in a row, Alaska was ranked No.1 as the most dangerous state for online dating.
Based on the research, Maine’s record-low rates for cybercrimes and STD's make's it the safest state for online dating.
