BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. (WFTS) — The 1-year-old boy who was thrown out of a pickup truck during a crash on I-75 in Broward County has been found dead.
A diver found the toddler's body in a waterway close to the crash scene, ABC-affiliate station WPLG-TV reports. A car seat was found near the crash scene, WPLG-TV reports.
According to WPLG-TV, the crash happened near Mile Marker 28 around 4:30 p.m. Several other people were involved in the crash, WPLG-TV reports.
The pickup truck went off the road and overturned in a grassy area, WPLG-TV reports.
Officials have not released the identity of the toddler; however, Florida Highway Patrol has said the family is from Tampa.
