PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - — A Florida Highway Patrol trooper is facing charges for admitting he had sex with an underage girl.
Pasco County sheriff's deputies arrested 23-year-old Riley Schwarz Saturday. Authorities said they confronted Schwarz after the 15-year-old's parents found a journal detailing their relationship.
The girl told deputies the two had sex multiple times. Schwarz admitted to it and surrendered himself to officers.
Schwarz is facing two counts of lewd and lascivious battery involving sexual activity of a victim between 12 and 16 years of age.
Florida Highway Patrol has since fired Schwarz.
