TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Christmas lights at Dorothy B. Oven park are shining bright and now ready for public viewing.
Visitors swung by to get their first glimpse of the annual holiday display. Kids snapped pictures with snowmen, and posed for selfies with polar bears.
The outdoor experience was a welcome treat for first-timers and return guests.
Andrew Schafer and his family even used it as a way to lift a loved one's spirit after dealing with quarantines. "We just come here every year and, her family is in a position where they kind of have to stay home. They can't interact with anybody due to health reasons, so we wanted to come out here still and hang out," said Schafer.
The park will be open to anyone wanting to take a stroll between now and January first. You can visit weekdays between 7 and 10, and weekends from 5:30 until 11pm.
