King Crockett, the 2-year-old at the center of a statewide AMBER Alert in Florida and Georgia, has been recovered safely.

However, authorities say the child's alleged abductee and father, Caesar Crockett, is in a stand-off situation with the Florida Highway Patrol and the Tampa Police Department.

According to a news release, Crockett, the suspect involved in the Amber Alert issued from Georgia earlier Wednesday, was spotted near I-75 and Fowler Avenue.

A chase soon ensued that led to I-4. While exiting eastbound I-4 at I-75, the Crockett crashed on the exit ramp.

Authorities say the child was recovered safely. However, Crockett is still inside the vehicle, armed with a gun in a standoff with troopers and police.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says officials are looking for 29-year-old Caesar Crockett Jr. after he was accused of getting into a fight with his child's mother Tuesday night in Macon.

During the fight, the sheriff's office says he pulled out a gun and fatally shot the woman's mother, stepfather and sister. He then left with his 2-year-old son, King Crockett.
