TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Officials say two American instructors killed during a shooting spree at a police training center in Jordan were both from Florida.

Gov. Rick Scott released a statement Tuesday identifying the men as Lloyd Carl Fields Jr., of Cape Coral, and James Damon Creach, of Tampa.

Jordanian officials say Monday's shooting also killed a South African and two Jordanians. The attack also wounded six people, including two Americans.

The assailant, a Jordanian police captain, was killed. Officials have released few details, but a government spokesman confirmed Tuesday that the attacker opened fire in a canteen.

The attacker's motives are under investigation. His family says he was not an extremist.
